Phin Café Bar was opening its doors with a clear idea: bring Vietnamese coffee, brewed the traditional phin way, to everyone, in a space that feels warm, modern and made for community. A new café has one chance at a first impression, so the opening needed to make the place look established from day one.
I planned a series of short videos for the grand opening, each built around the craft and the room: the pour, the making of each drink and the space itself. Every shot was framed so viewers could see how the drinks are made and imagine walking in.
The videos introduced Phin to its neighbourhood in Scarborough and gave the café a polished look online from the first week. The hero film now opens its website.
